ABOUT ME

As you can see from the pictures below, I love sports and I have been involved in sports for as long as I can remember. The first sport that I fell in love with was hockey. Luckily, living in Fairfield County exposed me to some of the best hockey in the country. After my junior year in high school, I went away to boarding school to compete in one of the best leagues in the east coast. This exposure helped me to eventually attend Manhattanville College. While I was at Manhattanville, I separated my shoulder after taking a big body check. This setback actually led me to experimenting with different shoulder rehabilitation excercises. One of the exercises I started was boxing. This is when my boxing journey began.

Shortly after graduating from Manhattanville, my friend recommended that I try out Heavy Hitting Boxing in Stamford, CT. I was immediately hooked by the high intensity classes and began training with the intention of just staying in shape. That changed pretty quickly with the support of the owner, Paul Sandolo, and next thing I know I had my first amateur fight. I won that fight (photo evidence below) and haven’t turned back ever since. For the last few years, I’ve coached at Heavy Hitting boxing and run two classes. Thanks to my Mother, who is a Massage Therapist & Personal Trainer, I have also started creating more awareness around muscle recovery & injury prevention. Boxing is very taxing on the body, and it’s rare that you see fighters implementing techniques that help the body recover from the pounding they are taking.

As a result, I started Marin Movements to help these fighters feel their absolute best by providing a hybrid of Assisted Stretching & Thai Massage. Marin Movements isn’t strictly for Boxers, our services can help all athletes or those just looking to feel better with their mobility and posture.
